  Rare and complicated backbone operations at Stradins Hospital

   

  May 19, In collaboration with European colleagues Petr Vanek from Prague Military hospital (the Czech Republic) arrived at Pauls Stradins Clinical University Hospital Neurosurgery clinic to perform backbones stabilization operations. He operated two young Latvian patients with rarely observed backbones deformations.

  “50 years with the Stradins name” – Memorial Exhibition On August 18, 2008 the Pauls Stradins Clinical University Hospital will commemorate the 50 years since it was given the name of Prof. Pauls Stradins. Everybody is welcomed to take part in the memorial festivities by laying flowers at the Pauls Stradins monument on Hospital grounds at 11 o`clock and latter, at 11:45 - open The Memorial Exhibition at the assembly hall. The Memorial Exhibition will be opened from August 18 to September 18, 2008.

  The International Congress on Invasive Cardiology “Baltic Summer 2008” - Practical Session took place at the Paul Stradins Cilnical Hospital. During this Practical Session Baltic and World Class sergeants performed surgeries on patients, with their consent, which where broadcasted live with specialist commentary.
